The Scientific Research Institute of Goznak was founded in 1948. The activity of 100 scientists employed at present is directed to new production technologies development, assessment methods and quality control improvement, as well as increase of anti-counterfeiting level of Goznak’s products.
The Institute carries out patent researches aimed at Goznak’s products security ensuring. Its research officers’ scientific elaborations underlay new paper sorts production, inks properties perfection for various printing methods and product characteristics improvement.
Gosstandart (the State Standard) of Russia provided the Scientific Research Institute of Goznak with the right to carry out the State testing and certification of means for banknote and security paper authenticity verification, both within Goznak and in the banking and trading areas.
