The new issue contains a large article in which the specialists of the Security Technologies Directorate of Goznak give an account of the role of the security fibers in the general security complex of the modern banknotes.

The Moscow Mint has produced a medal to commemorate the conclusion of the Act of canonic communication and restoration of unity in the Russian Orthodox Church. A medal of tombac with the diameter of 33 mm is produced by the Moscow Mint – Branch of Goznak in the number of 3 thousand pieces according to the Customer’s sketches.

In April 2007 the Moscow Printing Factory – Branch of Goznak produced the first jubilee issue dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the edition of the first Russian stamp, which was published on December 22 1857. The issue was printed in the number of 12800 sheets. Printing with conventional and intaglio inks was carried out in one pass, which required the technology further development.

The Moscow Mint produced a commemorative medal dedicated to Nikolay Kristofari, the first investor of the Savings Bank. The applied technology is new to the Moscow Mint – it is laser engraving of the milled edge of the medal.
