| 1891. The Installation of the First Orlov Printing Press and the Production of Banknotes of a New Design |
The photograph shows Orlov printing press improved by the mechanical engineer I. Struzhkov and the printer A. Shcherbakov.
In 1892 the Orlov printing press was used for the first time in the world to print new 25-rouble banknotes. Further on Orlov printing was widely used to manufacture banknotes.
